51 Days

Cousin Lulu has a little soda fountain and ice cream parlor down on West Canal Street.  She's right proud of that place so,.... so she was a little concerned when Jerree and his bud, Cousin Roscoe came in and ordered up 2 of those frozen glasses and root beer.  They then proceeded to bring together several of those little ice cream tables to make a large one.  Then sitting down,  they began chanting, "51 days, 51 days, 51 days", all the while banging those frozen glasses on the table in rhythm of their chant.  Just about then, in came Bubba,  Cousin George, and J&B Scotch.   After making their order of frozen glasses and root beer they joined Jerree and Cousin Roscoe.  They all began chanting, "51 days, 51 days, 51 days".   Cousin Lulu was beginning to get perturbed,  customers were leaving.    It wasn't long before the next wave entered.   Cousin Bill,  Cousin Jimmy,  Cousin Ned and George ( no relation).   And yep,  they ordered frozen glasses and root beer.   What a chant they could make now.   "51 days, 51 days, 51 days".   Glasses banging in rhythm.   The place was rocking.

What?  I'm just the one telling the story!

Cousin Louie arrived just about now carrying a large picture frame.  He went over and set the frame up so all the boys could see.  After a moment of silence the chant resumed, "51 days, 51 days, 51 days".   The glass banging got louder as the last customer left the shop.   Cousin Lulu had all she was taking of this.   She went over to the boys, grabbed Jerree by the arm pulling him over to a quieter corner of the shop and asked him what was going on.   "Well", said Jerree, "you know how everybody is always saying we ain't got no smarts?  The boys and I thought and thought, what could we do to show them that we are just as smart as everybody else."  He then went over to the big mash of tables and brought the picture back for Cousin Lulu to see.  It was a frame picture puzzle.  A puzzle with large pieces.  "Me and the boys found this here puzzle and together we put it together.................in only '51 days'.   And look, right here on the box it says, '2 to 4 years'.
